Every piece we create at Vibeartz has a story, and our multi-layered turtle artwork is no exception. This little project began with a simple idea: to capture the grace and calm of a turtle in a piece that’s both detailed and dimensional.
It started at the drawing board. We carefully sketched each layer of the turtle, thinking about how the shapes would stack, how shadows would fall, and how the curves could bring the turtle to life. This part of the process is all about imagination and planning—making sure that when the design comes to life, it has depth and movement.
Every layer tells a story, every stroke brings it to life, and every piece is a journey from imagination to reality.

Once the design was ready, it was time for our laser cutter to work its magic. Each layer of plywood was cut with precision, creating delicate edges and intricate shapes that are impossible to achieve by hand. Watching the layers come out of the machine, perfectly aligned, is always a little moment of awe.
The next stage is where the turtle truly comes alive: hand painting. Each layer is carefully painted, with attention to color, texture, and detail. It’s a slow, mindful process, but it’s also the most rewarding. As the paint brings warmth and personality to the piece, the turtle begins to tell its story.
Finally, the layers are assembled. Watching the flat pieces come together to form a multi-dimensional artwork is like seeing a dream take shape. The turtle seems to float, almost ready to swim off the wall, carrying with it all the care, creativity, and love poured into each step.
